September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and every year our wonderful community in Hassocks ā€œgoes goldā€ to raise awareness and funds for CCLG – The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.

As it’s such an important cause, we were delighted to take part and Go GoldĀ ourselves this September!

Inside the nursery and preschool, the children got creative by decorating goldfish and golden starsĀ to make a beautiful window display. They also enjoyed a gold treasure hunt, both indoors and in the garden, followed by a range of gold-themed sensory activitiesĀ that everyone loved exploring.

To top it all off, we hosted our very own Gold Dress-Up Day, with children (and staff!) wearing their most dazzling gold outfits — the setting truly sparkled from top to bottom. ✨

Beyond our own activities, we were proud to support the wider Hassocks Goes Gold fundraising efforts.

We sponsored a giant gold bowĀ as part of the community’s Bow Trail and donated three prizesĀ to the daily auction:

  • A Julia Donaldson advent book

  • A delicious M&S afternoon tea

  • And three Music with Mike sessionsĀ held here at our setting

Altogether, we raised over Ā£125Ā for the Hassocks Goes Gold fund — and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our parents and families. Thank you all for helping us make a difference! šŸ’›
